It used to be that a person became President for one of two reasons:

1) He wanted to be a reformer who helped the poor and middle class.
2) He wanted to protect the rich against the poor and middle class.

So it was about the ins and the outs.

But now it seems like everyone is an in. Poverty has decreased enormously an what was middle class is almost rich by historic standards.

So, who or what is left to care about?
